If you get a jam to/ from out of city you have to many imports/ exports. (if export) specialisation -> outconnection Outconnection -> (if no resources) specialisation -> goods -> commercial Complicated.Īnd don't connect all stations to one network, make multiple that can't be accessed by another. And not just by building but by a specific region. And there needs to be a overview of where goods are comming from. Stations need information of how many goods are imported and exported and from where they are comming. Make sure internal and external network is splittet!īut yes, as this system is very complicated, there needs to be much more information as we have currently to see, whats going on. Make sure there are enough (and near) cargostations/ ports for industry and comercial. you have to be very carfull by planning your cargo network. So, with bigger cities (expecially unsupported > 9 tiles size). That is, it will need to import if there is not (enough). Goods industry needs all resources from the Specialindustry to work. But the needed amount is much small, 4:1 or less would be my guess. Specialindustry can only export or bring it to the goods industry. If you want to run industry, you will need to consider the 4 specialisation and the good industry. And you can't always see them as there are scenarios, where a truck is even not started because of that. If cargo can't be delivered because of insufficient connection, it will result in that. Also, one cargo-trainstation somewhere in your city will also not be enough. The highway from outer connections will not be enough.
That means cargo-ports and cargo-trainstations. If import or export is high (10k could be already very critical but, this is just a guess) then you will need a better cargo connection. Not everyone should go to university just because there's a spot available though.Ĭheck imports and exports. To get basically every citizen to attend elementary and high school you should basically only be able to provide the facility and keep the crime levels reasonable. The only difference is that it may be harder for someone without one to get a job. Even if someone doesn't attend high school there's basically no difference about which types of jobs someone with or without a high school exam can get. Everyone are given the chance to complete high school in a modern industrialized society and more or less everyone attends unless there's a high crime level. It's of course also a pre-requisite for the university. And then there's educated, which are those who have completed a university education.Īvailability of elementary and high schools should be more of a basic need than something that affects jobs. Maybe it should only be two or three categories? Uneducated, which contains everything between those who have none education up to those who has completed high school.
The education system should be changed completely.
#CITIES SKYLINES NOT ENOUGH BUYERS HOW TO#
Any ideas why this might be happening and how to remedy the problem? I don't want to abandon my city, I've already laid out huge road networks over the entire map, and I really want to fill them now =) Traffic is not a problem, and I even have cargo train terminals in both areas. A quick look at the outside connections shows that the share of "goods" in both export and imports is almost invisible. Both industry and commercial buildings are getting abandoned and do not rebuild, I've lost about a quarter of each already. The problem appeared out of the blue and it's been happening for over two in-game years already. This only affects the regular industry forestry and agriculture seem fine. Industry complains that nobody buys the products, commerce says there's not enough of them. When suddenly I notice that both my industrial and commercial zones are having problems. My city was growing well, I got to 200k population, I have all five ultimate buildings. So, basically, I have the problem as described in the title.
